News Releases FLORIDA FAMILY INSURANCE COMPANY Naples, Florida, June 11, 2007… A.M. Best Company has re-affirmed Florida Family Insurance Company’s “B++” (Good) financial stability rating. A.M. Best also confirmed that the company’s outlook remains “Stable.” This rating and outlook statement recognizes Florida Family’s conservative operating strategies, favorable capitalization, local market knowledge, and focus on financial protection. Rick Hardy, President and CEO said, “Once again we are pleased that our efforts have been recognized by the industry’s premier rating agency. Florida Family’s reaffirmed ‘B++’ rating is all the more gratifying in light of the challenging operating environment that has unfolded following the storm season of 2004. Since we opened our doors in 1996, Florida Family has strived to deliver high quality insurance coverage at a fair price. Our mission is to provide superior quality service, while remaining a secure, reliable provider of financial protection for our policyholders and a strong, viable market for our agents. We have never wavered from these commitments.” The “B++” rating follows an annual A.M. Best review of Florida Family’s management, operations, reinsurance program and investments. Florida Family Insurance Company is qualified to provide protection to homes insured by federal government agencies, such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The rating again cites Florida Family's consistent operating performance, highlighting the company's emphasis on security and profitability. Demotech, Inc., another rating agency service authorized by federal agencies to provide financial stability ratings of insurance companies, rates Florida Family as “A Prime.” The Company serves more than 100,000 families throughout the state of Florida writing homeowners, dwelling fire and flood insurance products, which are distributed through a network of qualified Florida Independent Insurance Agents.
