News Releases Diane O’Connor Elected Vice President , Underwriting Naples, Florida, May 25, 2005… President and CEO, Rick Hardy, has announced the election of Diane O’Connor, CPCU, to the position of Vice President, Underwriting. She most recently held the position of director of underwriting, a role she has fulfilled since 2001. Ms. O’Connor is a 1986 graduate of Stetson University (Deland, FL) and achieved the industry designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 2001. She began her nineteen year insurance career with Prudential Insurance Company as an underwriting trainee based in Jacksonville, ultimately advancing to the role of underwriting manager in that company’s Oakbrook, Illinois offices. In 2000, Ms. O’Connor accepted the position of underwriting manager with Florida Family Insurance Company, based in the company’s Jacksonville office. A year later, she relocated to Florida Family’s home office in Naples in the capacity of director of underwriting. A direct report to the Chief Underwriting Officer, Peter Corrigan, Ms. O’Connor’s expanded responsibilities include management of Florida Family’s underwriting (property and flood divisions), customer service and policy services departments, and policy fulfillment operations. Florida Family insures approximately 85,000 families within the state of Florida through its homeowners, dwelling fire and other personal lines insurance products.
